ATLANTA – June 5, 2019 —The Georgia Department of Economic Development today announced that Thomas Regout Inc, a developer of innovative height adjustable mount systems for interactive flatpanels in schools, will create 25 jobs and invest more than $2 million in a new U.S. location in Woodstock. The products are marketed under the brandnames BalanceBox® and e-Box®.

“We are excited that Thomas Regout Inc. chose Cherokee County for their first U.S. location,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson. “We are very proud of the active Dutch business community we have here in Georgia, and this announcement will undoubtedly strengthen the longstanding relationship between Georgia and The Netherlands.”

Headquartered in Maastricht, The Netherlands, the Regout Group manufactures height adjustable mounting systems, telescopic slides and window decoration products for various market segments including the education and corporate AV market, automotive, furniture, professional storage, DIY and more. The company will focus on assembly, sales and distribution at this new U.S. location.

“We chose the location in Georgia because of the proximity of several big players in the professional AV industry, who are now among our customers also aimed at the education market,” said Eric Kamerbeek VP of Thomas Regout Inc. The availability of qualified staff and the support from the local authorities in the area made it an excellent location for our business. Atlanta is also an easy to reach hub for national and international travel and the people are friendly and the climate is great.”

The company began moving into the new location in Woodstock in December 2018.

“We are pleased to welcome Thomas Regout Inc. to Cherokee County, where many world-renowned companies call home,” said Cherokee Office of Economic Development Board Chairman Marshall Day. “As the fastest growing county in metro Atlanta with one of the most connected and diverse economies, more and more corporations are making Cherokee their choice for business.”

Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) Director of International Investment Nico Wijnberg represented the Global Commerce Division in partnership with the Cherokee Office of Economic Development and Georgia Power.
